Abstract

This article explores the role of metaphors in scientific discourse, focusing on their communicative function and ideological implications within academic writing. Metaphors are shown to serve not only as literary devices but also as tools for simplifying complex concepts, clarifying abstract ideas, and popularizing scientific thought. The study analyzes metaphorical expressions extracted from various scientific texts and examines their linguistic features and contextual meanings.
