Abstract

This article examines English and Uzbek trade terminology within the specialized sublanguages of law, economics, and finance. Legal discourse demonstrates stability and semantic rigidity, while economic and financial discourse reveal openness to borrowings, calques, and neologisms. Comparative analysis highlights both similarities, such as the widespread use of internationalisms and acronyms, and differences, including semantic precision in English versus greater flexibility in Uzbek.
