This article analyzes the functional features of mobile communication terms used in mass media discourse (MMD) in English and Uzbek. The pragmatic functions, semantic content, and the role of such terms in news, advertisements, and analytical texts are examined from a comparative linguistic perspective. The study evaluates these terms within the framework of cultural adaptation, social connotation, and interlingual influence. Structural, stylistic, and functional similarities and differences between English and Uzbek media discourse are identified and analyzed.
