This paper examines the impact of bilingualism on the educational process, with particular attention to cognitive development, academic achievement, and classroom interaction. Bilingualism is analyzed not merely as a linguistic phenomenon, but as an educational resource that influences learners’ cognitive flexibility, metalinguistic awareness, and learning strategies. Drawing on contemporary educational and psycholinguistic research, the study highlights both the advantages and challenges of bilingual education in formal learning environments. The findings suggest that bilingualism, when pedagogically supported, enhances learning outcomes and contributes positively to students’ academic and social development.
