Abstract

This article examines the increasing significance of linguistics in enhancing modern communication across interpersonal, intercultural, digital, and professional contexts. Drawing on contemporary theoretical and empirical research, the study analyzes how linguistic knowledge—phonetics, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and discourse analysis—contributes to effective message production and interpretation in an era defined by globalization and digital transformation. Using descriptive and comparative methods, the article identifies key linguistic competences required for successful communication and evaluates their role in reducing misunderstandings, enhancing clarity, and fostering cross-cultural dialogue. The results demonstrate that linguistics is not only a theoretical science but also a practical tool that supports digital communication, artificial intelligence systems, and multilingual interactions.
